Part of a loutrophoros decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe in fragments and was pieced together.

It most likely depicts an epavlia scene. The bride in the scene’s centre, wearing a hair band, moves towards the left. She holds a small box in one hand and with the other she receives gifts from a winged female figure. A similar figure stands behind her. Winged figures that appear in wedding scenes symbolise the bride’s “flight” to her new life. The rushed and sloppy execution of the depiction deprives us of details on the figures, their garments and the objects they were holding. The diluted paint covering the background has uneven colouring either due to carelessness when painting it, or because of the firing conditions in the kiln.
